Telecare

The Telecare service is a free program offered to the community by Atinu Critical Care  Hospital. If you have a family member, good friend or neighbour you feel may need a daily call for any reason, the Telecare service is available to you.  Residents of Port Harcourt, Rivers State who live alone, regardless of age, health, religion or financial status are eligible to be called. Calls can be reminders to clients to turn their Life Line on or to take medications and follow up on their appointments.

Volunteers call six days a week between 9:00 am and 10:00 am.  If the person cannot be reached they are called again at the end of the calling list.  If that person still cannot be reached, the emergency contact (such as a relative, close friend or neighbor is called).  Each person called receives a personal visit once a year to help put a face with a name.

If you or someone you know would like to sign up for this valuable service you can call us at 09030002187
